Birth certificate in Hindi

Hello,

My husband is planning to sponsor his parents for the B2 visa. Just wanted to know if it is okay to submit his birth certificate which is in Hindi or does it need to be translated. The interview will be at the Mumbai Consulate.

Hindi birth certificate does not need to be translated into English at Mumbai consulate.

For any submission to USCIS, all non-English documents need to be translated into English.

However, for consulates, it is OK to submit the documents in the local language(s) of the area where the consulate is located. For Mumbai, the documents in English, Hindi, Gujarati and Marathi are acceptable.
