UK Work Permit Eligibility

Hi,
I am a software professional and was working with company A for 7 years. I quit and joined company B a month back. What is the shortest duration within which I can travel to UK on a work permit and work from the client's site for company B?
I cannot consult this with my company's visa department due to some constraints.

Who Shud work atleast 6 months in the Company B

I'm afraid there's no such requirement of min work of 6 months... provided your company B gives you the correct documentation (which, amongst other things, includes formal a invitation letter from the client)!!! Once of my very good friends joined a company as a Linux Admin and was sent to client's site in UK in less that 2 months of joining!!!
