Hi,

I have just emailed re my status as a British subject with right of a bode
but forgot to say that I will be travelling to Canada in July via Los
Angeles, stopping over for only a matter of hours.

My question was can I still use the visa waiver scheme which I have always used before or have the rules changed?

Yes, but you will have to first do ESTA.
