Hi,

I will appear for visa interview (F1) on May 13. I am planning to take up MS in Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason University, Virginia.

My brother is working in the US. He is not sponsoring my studies but somewhere in one of those DS forms I have to give that detail. Would it affect my chances?

What all financial documents did you take along with you for the interview? Is bank statements showing sufficient funds all that is actually required? Or should i get a chartered accountant or a public notary or a bank approved agent to give a statement of the net worth of assets of my parents/family? Should i show it if i am taking an education loan to finance my studies?
