Friends,

We have been blessed with baby boy (6 weeks old, born in USA) and decided to apply for Indian passport.

Please help me on below questions i have.

1) Can my kid travel to India with just Indian passport and birth certificate issued by US Gov. ?
2) If in case my kid has to travel back to US in future, can he travel to US with Visa issued by US consulate, will they issue one?
3) To register with Indian consulate, do we need to send parents original passports or just notarized photo copies will do?

Thanks in advance.
Anil.

Congratulations on parenthood! There are plenty of posts on the forum on this subject.

1. Yes
2. No. The baby is a USC and cannot get a US visa.
