I am an Indian citizen living in India and married to a US citizen. My husband petitioned the I130 for my immigration to the US around two weeks back. Since the whole immigrant visa process requires a wait of at least 8 months, we decided to meet for holidays.
We are planning to visit Jamaica in April. As I looked for tickets, I realized that I need to transit in the US for a couple of hours for both my onward and my return journey. I would like to know if it is ok for me to apply a transit visa while my I130 is in process.
I would also like to know if the same visa will be valid for the return trip.
