Hello,

My brother got F1 Visa to SNHU near Boston. He will be coming in couple of weeks.
Can he come to Atlanta and stay with me for a week and then go to Boston?

Do they ask any question at port of entry? Does he have to show the poof of ticket to Boston from Atlanta?
If he does can he buy after coming here?
If not can we buy from here and send him the e-ticket? Will it be sufficient?

Or is a risk to come here?

Can some one please help me…?

Thanks in advance.

it depends what he mentioned in the application. If he had shown that he has some relative in the usa, the risk is high. otherwise it is fine. otherwise let him fly to his own destination and report to the college and then he can fly to other states because it is domestic transit. it will be perfectly alright. you should carry same impression at any point of time. if you find my information wrong please revert to me with the correct one. all the best.

Well i dont think there shud be a problem. As long as he is not missing on his classes, he can always say that he is stopping in Atlanta to meet some family and friends, and then fly to boston for his studies.
As far as flying to Boston from Atlanta is concerned, well.....he can say that he plans to take grehound or get a ticket online!!!

I am a foriegn student myself and am on a summer break in my home country. I study in Atlanta but before i start my classes, i plan to spend some time in NY, dallas and Chicago. My family ,on B1 visa, will also accompany me and we are planning to have a vacation!
