Vistor visa extension

Hi,

I sent a visitor visa appln. extn to USCIS for my mother in law on March 29 (recvd by USCIS on Mar 30 - have postal proof for that). I-94 expired on Apr 29th. I called USCIS a couple of times, they mentioned that receipt was mailed recently but even after around 10 days I did not receive them yet. I hope that it will show up or will try to get a dup. letter or case #. Meanwhile can my mother in law continue to stay in US (given that I-94 expired on Apr 29) ?

As long as you applied before the expriation date of I-94, she can stay legally in US.
