Hey,
does anyone know how long does it take to get a STEM OPT extension approval?

2-3 months is normal.

thank you for your reply.
So one more thing,
my OPT expires on July 29th and I'm sending my I-765 form and all the other requirements this week. Do you think it is safe for me to go ahead and book my flight for August 1st? I know when I'm home I need to renew my visa stamp but do you think that my new Work Authorization card and acceptance for the STEM extension would have gotten here before my departure (Aug 1st)?

Aug 1 seems safe in my opinion.
