Going for H1B stamping with misdemenor tresspassing

I got arrested for shoplifting and finally the charges were reduced and convicted for "Misdemenor Tresspassing" in july 2011. Now I'm planning to got to india for my first H1 B stamping. Can any one please advice, what question would be asked in the vissa interview and also what all court documents should I carry with me?

You need to first evaluate the outcome of the charge. Has the case been dismissed/ Did you pay a fine? Did you plead guilty? If so, to what charge?

You need to answer the questions truthfully on the visa forms. Tespassing is a minor charge than shoplifting but need to carry the entire case file - court certified, final judgement with court seal, docket sheet showing dismissal/conviction/supervision.


Expect delays and be prepared for a full background check delay if you get triggered for it by the system.

I did pay the complete fine. How to check if the case is dismissed? I did pleaad guilty for misdemenor tresspassing.

Form where can I get all the court documents, should I ask my attorney or can I get from Clerks office?
