For my parents, I applied for visitor visa extension *before* their legal stay expired. They left US *after* their original stay date had passed but before they got approval for extension. So they got approval for extension after they had left for India.

But with the approval letter, I did not get replacement I-94 cards with new dates. We only sent copies of I-94 with application.

And now their old original I-94 was not taken by the airport counter, so they mailed it to me from India so that I can send it to USCIS.

I noted on immihelp.com the procedure to send the I-94 card to USCIS in London, kentucky so that they can correct records.

BUT USCIS website says that we should get replacement I-94 if our application is approved which did not happen.(is it bcos we did not send original?)

In any case, should I still send the I-94 card to USCIS, London, KY ??
Or should I enquire why they did not give us replacement I-94?

Thanks in advance!

ps: Really appreciate and grateful for the wonderful service provided to people such as us!

Check in I-797 approval notice. I-94 is part of that towards the bottom. You don't get separte I-94 paper.

Thanks! I did see it now at the bottom of the approval notice. (duh!)

Thanks again. So I will now send both the old and new I-94s to USCIS along with documentation (boarding passes etc.) to indicate when they actually left for India.

Keep a copy of all documentation you send to USCIS.
