221 (g) pending

hello sir i had my interview on 4 may i even submitted my passport i got my passport back along with a letter they are saying you have kept pending administrative processing under section 221 (g) .
what is this .? do i have to contact them.? in how much time i shall receive my visa,?

I think administrative processing is a part of the process, in fact they may need to get clearance about your case from the security agencies. You need to wait at least 2 weeks.

Hello have you heard anything back. My husband had his interview Feb 2015 was given 221g once case was recieved back in USA we were told case needed to undergo security clearances. Its been 8 months. Has your case resolved.
