  • Lost passport - Will it cause denial of L1/H1 visa

    Hi,

I had got 3 denials so far, 2 B1 and 1 L1-A Blanket. I had lost my passport once and got a new passport, will this be a cause for the denials. I somehow feel my passport is blacklisted and will not get through any visa. Can someone please share some inputs on this.

    Regards,
    - San

Lost passport is certainly not a good sign as it almost always will involve delays but that alone isnt the reason for visa rejections. If your B1/L1A applications were strong I dont see lost passport as the reason. If you could post the B1 and l1A interview questions with the answers you gave it may give some insight as to what could have possible gone wrong.

This is my opinion not legal advice.

Thanks Raghvi, It happened last November, cannot recollect the complete conversation, but I felt at the end of it 10.5 years of experience and managing a team of less than 10 professionals (mix of manager, senior professional and professionals) wasn't enough.
