  • F-1 Visa holder seeking assistance!

Hello people, I was admitted into US as an F-1 visa holder back in May 2010.
I attended my school until the fall of 2011, but I didn't get to complete the semester for multiple reasons and, even though I wasn't a smartest, I am still intelligent andseeking more education.

So my school dropped off my classes since I owe some tuition fee, I haven't been in school since then and I know am no longer in status and my VISA expired too.

But with the new immigration reform and stuff, would I be able to apply for and get the opportunity to get loans, should I return to school?
I know this is long, but please any detailed information would be so appreciated.

Also can I file for adjustment of status if my girlfriend and I get married, since a friend said that "Residebcy/citizenship through marriage" will get cancelled in early 2015?
I love her and we're not in any rush.

    Andy,

There is no reason to believe that "Residency/Citizenship through marriage will be cancelled in 2015." Residency and eventual citizenship eligibility accountfor a significant portion of immigrants coming to the U.S. (as spouses). Your friend has been misinformed or has misinterpreted something he heard.

Thanks for the information, mate, that really helped.
I never stopped searching to know where he picked up that information and even if the timeline was right.

Again, will an out of status immigrant qualify for the new DREAMers ACT being passed this summer or later in the year?
I came at 18 and now 22, but never violated any of the country's rule of conducts or committed any sort of crime, and have significant interest in returning to college?
