F1 Visa Assistance - Already holding a B1/B2 Visa

Hi,

I am applying for F1 visa and currently hold a B1/B2 visa.

Is it necessary to get the fingerprinting done again as part of the F1 visa interview?

I assume you are presently not in the United States. Yes, fingerprinting is part of OFC process so that visit is required again prior to interview
