L1a visa query

I am currently working on OPT ,and my company has filed for H1B.
In case of rejection of my H1B can my company file for a L1 Visa


Further :
Company is based in US ,and has branch in India ( my home country ) . There is a provision / clause in the L1 A Visa petition that I should have worked for the foreign company/branch for more than 1 year.

My Problem point is that I have worked for the parent company out here in US for more than a year but not worked for its branch based in India ,so can my 1+ year of work with the parent company serve this purpose or DO I NEED TO HAVE THAT WORK EXPERIENCE SPECIFICALLY OUT OF THE INDIAN BRANCH

L1 Visa is for transferring the employee from one of its affiliated foreign offices to one of its offices in the United States. So yes, you have to be working outside US for 1+Year in 3 Years preceding your entry to US, to serve this basic requirement.
