  • L1A - left US + changed employer - how to return?

    Hi All

So I am a UK citizen with a blanket L1A and was working in the US with my family. I returned to UK in April this year and switched employer. We are now considering returning to the US and was wondering whether I have any options for either a transfer of L1A from old employer or some fastback application for green card or otherwise?

Really looking for options in terms of being able to return.... my L1A is still valid till next year ... or at least it would be if I had not changed employer I guess?

    Appreciate the feedback.
    Thanks - G

    L1 visas are not transferable.
Option 1: After working for current employer for 1 Year, if they have branch in US and requirement, to process L1 for current employer. Can take 1 Year additional 2-3 Months processing.
Option 2: If you qualify, current employer can file GC under EB1, talk to your current company about it.
Option 3: Ask current or any other company to process H1 in April 2015, and if all goes well you can travel Oct 2015.
Option 4: Go back to old employer on the condition that they send you to US.

Bottom line, without going back to old employer it wouldn't be possible for you to work in US in the immediate future.
This is my opinion not legal advice.
