  • I-130 approval processing time

I am a GC holder petitioning for my wife. I had send I-130 to Vermont Service Center at March 2014. At that time, the USCIS website was showing the processing time as 6 months. When I checked it now, it is saying 9 months.
So, I am wondering if they will process my I-130 approval in 6 months or 9 months. I am quite confused.

I am aware that lack of family preference visa will cause my petition to be queued at NVC but do they queue at USCIS instead?

Can somebody please illuminate me? any advice will be appreciated.

The Service Center (USCIS) processing times go up and down, depending on workload and other priorities. This has nothing to do with the State Department (NVC) visa class priority waits.

      Thanks Ray.

According to your experience, do you know if my I-130 approval will be 6 months (when I filed) or 9 months (currently showing)?
Also the Vermont service center is showing "Pending unripe, adjuciation deffered because famil visa is unavailable". Any idea what that means?

I'm reading about 11 months (Vermont currently processing 9/30/2013 i-130's from GC holder for spouse).

Yes thats true, somewhere I saw that too.
But in this page, it is showing as 9 months which is pretty confusing.
