Sponsor Views (Unacceptable)

Hello,

I have the following issue and I will be very grateful if I receive any answer:

I have a J-1 waiver (based on hardship) pending since almost a year. The DOS online waiver status shows the following recent update:

“Sponsor Views (Unacceptable) Received”

What does “Unacceptable” indicate? And what do I need to do on my part?

Note: Several months ago, a similar update was: Fee (Unacceptable) Received. I contacted them and they requested to submit copies of the application and the payment again.

Hi Masir,
I wish i have an answer to your question but i am in the same situation. My case have the same update as yours and i am not sure what (Unacceptable) means. I guess it's most likely denial or the DOS doesn't agree with the sponsors review. Did you have any new updates on your case since then. Please share if you did, It would be really helpful to understand really what this (Unacceptable) notation means.
