  • F1 visa again after completing education in US and work experience

I have been working for a pharmaceutical company in India for past seven years since 2008. Prior to that I went to Cornell University, NY with F1 visa for my higher studies, worked in US with H1B for a couple of years to get some practical experience and then I consciously decided to come back to India to contribute here. I have been in India ever since 2008.
I strongly believe in continuous improvement of knowledge and diversifying my skill set. Over a period of time, I have developed an interest in health economics research due to my exposure to healthcare and pharma sectors. Not many universities in the globe specialise in area of my current interest. After thorough research on Google, I found that University of Southern California (USC), LA has a very interesting PhD program in health economics and policy. I have a very strong academic background, good recent most GRE score and I had graduated from IIT, Madras with M.Sc.
Now, I would like to accumulate knowledge pertaining to health economics at USC, come back to India and disseminate the same in Indian healthcare industries.
I was wondering if my situation would be considered favourably for F1 visa issuance. Please advise how to increase my chances of f1 visa once again..

    Hi,

I think you will be okay. Show strong ties to India when facing VO, so that he is convinced that you will come back to India. Also get your I-20 from USC and show that you have strong financial backing to fund your education (self or through USC) in USA.

    Best of Luck!
