  • Should we hire lawyer for Fiance Visa?

    Hello Everyone,

I need help regarding to Fiance visa process. Please let us know is it must to hire a lawyer for fiance visa process or we can do it by our own? Frankly telling, We talked to a lawyer and found it too expansive to hire a lawyer...this made us confuse.

Is there anyone out there who prepare their all papers without hiring lawyer and had no problems? Please share your experience with us so we can go through it easily.

Waiting for the good replies...with the answers of these following questions?

    1. Should we hire a lawyer? (Yes/No)
    2. If yes, then Why?
    3. If no, then how we can go through this process?
    4. What should be the total cost, including lawyer fee?
    5. What are the charges, if we do our own?

    Thanks

It depends on how complicated your case is and also how confident you are in working with the USCIS. I would say for most cases, you can file yourself, if you simply follow a good guide.
          --Good luck--
Good luck. I learned the hard way, I hope you don't have to. Immigration is interesting. Not considered as legal advice.

              hı,
thank you for your respond. Our case is not that complicated we are just regular people no kids or anything. my boyfriend is in a good work position in the unıted states and ım a psychologist with good gpa degree. My concern is not about filling the form ı'm concerning about what is fiancee means for USCIS. Are they looking for any evidence about being engagement ? or our 3 years relationship photos all the conversations tickets and everything going to be fine ??????

We have been doing it without lawyer and are doing fine.

We are doing the spousal visa. It is a lot of work, but it can be done. I had a friend use a lawyer, she was ahead of us to begin with and now we past her. Lawyers don't know everything and they had some paper work they had to resubmit. You do need to read everything carefully and follow instructions. We are at the end now and have our interview date, so all has gone well so far. Just take things step by step and you should be fine.
