Have Green card but passport expires within 6 months

Hello,

I and my 5 year old kid are currently staying in USA and are planning to visit India in May this year. We both are Indian citizens by birth (have Indian passport) and also have US Green card.

I noticed that my kid's passport expires in September this year (in less than 6 months). I have the following questions:

1. Will my kid and I have any issues traveling from USA to India? Will we be able to do the immigration in USA and upon landing in India without any issues?
2. Will my kid and I have any issues during re-entry back from India to USA? Will we be able to do the immigration in India and upon landing in USA without any issues?
