Had J1 visa - Got 2 year home residence waiver - how can I get new J1 visa?

Hello,
I just obtained the USVIS approval for my I-612 form (2 year home residence requirement waiver).
I already have a new DS-2019. I need to get a new J1 visa.
Do I need to leave the country, get a new visa and come back, or is there any way to have the visa without leaving the country?
