Where to start?

So this is all new to me. I have been talking with a great man online and we would like to see where it goes in person. His country ( Ghana) Is not safe as being a gay male there can end in death. So I am going to work on getting him here to the US, Now if he comes and we still feel the same way we want to move on with a relationship. So what do I do?

Obtain proof of meeting him in person, then petition him (I-129F) as a fiancee.
