  • F1 Visa Advice

    Hello,

I have just joined this forum today and I have to say theres plenty of useful information here.

I have applied and got admission in a Undergrad degree for Fall, 2009 semester in a decent state university with 59 transfer credits. My situation is a little unique as before applying for F1 I have already applied and got refusal from Canadian Consulate for a Students Permit. Does this have any bearing on US F1 visa ?

Secondly, I had applied for a US M (vocational) visa back in 2001 and had got refused twice then. After that I had applied for Visitor Visa in Oct 2005,again getting refused. Will this history weigh heavy for my F1 visa this time around ? The common line that I saw in all the three refusals was that I wasnt sufficiently established in my own country and not enough income of my parents. Subsequently, my mother has retired but has handsome terminal benefits. We also have sufficient bank balance and I will be getting sponsorship from my brother who is working in US along with a education loan of 20 lacs. I should probably mention here that I am 27, which I am told could also potentially affect Visa approval ?

    Thank you in advance
