  • PIO - Q. 16 and 17 in Houston form

    Hi there,

PIO application for my 2 month old son at Houston Embassy:

    (1) Q. 16: Name and addresses of two persons known to the applicant living in India - Firstly, my son resides in the USA and secondly, he certainly does not know anybody in this world. (He doesn't even know who he is... ) What answer is expected for this question? Do they mean people who know the applicant instead?

    (2) Q. 17: Details and mode of payment of fee - It is specifically mentioned on the form that the fee should be paid either by Cashiers Check or Money Order. Does that really mean that I cannot pay by Cash if I apply in person and have to take CC/MO with me?

    Thanks,
    Kishor

If you want you can just put "NONE" in the question where it asks you if you have any relatives in India. (I did that and no probs OCI issued)

Also if applying in-person you can still pay cash but exact money only. They don't give change from UK experience. These ppl just put unnecessary questions just to baffle you.
