As long as you have a new visa, why are you worrying? Isn't the immigration or embassy who gave it to you? So I don't see any issue here. Take the plane and give yourself a chance. Low GPA does not have anything to do with your status here, I believe!
      Good luck.

        Hi free contributer'

actually i asked my international student(current UNIV) advisor that she told that my student status with that univ is completed.
and i have new i20 from other univ, can i travel with my valid visa and new i20 without sevis transfer....

Since you are going to be entering the US using a initial admission I-20, you will need a new visa.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.

            Agattus:

From my feeling, YOU ARE NOT STUDENT!!!, [/B][/COLOR]You just want to get F-1 status visa in US, while do something else for your own!!! Like find a job or work illegally as F-1!!!

Did you hold H-1 visa before??? (Or it expired already and you just did not want to leave US!!!)

By the way, what is your area of study??? What is the name of University??
And what is name of your univeristy in India??

I believe if your GPA is less than 2.0 you risk losing your status. If you are simply transferring schools, normally you won't need a new visa. However, the fact that you aren't considered a student of the first school, it looks like you are entering the US as a new student and if that is the case, you will need a new visa. If it's worth it to you, like someone else suggested - take a plane.

I believe you have to transfer your SEVIS because each University has it own SEVIS system to track students! Call immigration and ask them, they would be able to give you more details! Here the website www.uscis.gov! Good luck to you.
