Hello.
My visa is F-1 and I am on OPT. My OPT will expire in May 2012 after which I will extend it. I am getting married in January 2012 and intend to bring my wife here. I am thinking of applying for an F-2 visa for her. I have all the documents required for the interview(financial letter, employment letter etc). But after looking at other posts in this forum I am afraid of her getting a rejection.
I have the following questions:
1. Can she get rejected because I will have only 4 months left on my initial OPT.
2. If I want to avoid it can I apply for B-1(visitor) visa which will allow her to stay for 6 months then go back and come again.
3. Is there anything else that can be done.
