Reuse R J1 Visa after "Cancelled without prejudice"

Dear forum users,

3 weeks ago I've got the USA R J1 Visa in my passport (for 4 month) . Due to some reasons i had to cancel it. Now those reasons are not more "validate" so my concern is: "Can the embassy withdraw the CANCELED visa and make it valid again" or "I have to apply for another new visa in order to be able to travel to US".
