    Default Original Birth Certificate

I have been a green card holder for 2 years now and had submitted my original Birth Certificate to USCIS during my green card process.

I haven't got my Birth certificate back from USCIS till date. Is there a way that I can get it back?

On the other hand, will I really require to show my original birth certificate again in the US?

    Do you have a photocopy?
Have someone in your home country to get more original copies from the birth office.

I do have both colored and black/white photocopies. Are they equivalent to certified copies?

It's really going to be tough to get original from my home country without me going there.

Is there no way to get them from USCIS?
