looking for travel insurance for my in-laws. just now I found on atlas america that they did not cover preexisting for age above 55 with effect from 1stmay 2012

can i go for fixed plan inbound usa as it covers preexisting to the extent $5000

Therefore, that change definitely exists in Atlas plan from May 1, 2012.

You can purchase Inbound USA as well. However, it is a fixed coverage plan and covers a small portion of actual expenses even for new medical conditions, and you will have to pay the difference beyond that from your pocket.

For people below the age of 70 years, Inbound USA covers up to $5,000 if the person is admitted into the hospital due to heart attack or stroke that may be due to pre-existing conditions.
