L2 visa status is on "Your Passport is under process at U.S Embassy/Consulate."

Hi All,

I am on Blanket L1B visa and currently i am in USA and this is my second visit. My wife applied for L2 and she done with her interview on 10th May 2012. This was done in Hyderabad visa office. The VO did not give any slip and said your visa is approved.

But it is almost 21 days still the status is showing up "Your Passport is under process at U.S Embassy/Consulate." in the site

My wife reached VFS, she got the same response from them. Even they dont have info about how many days this process will take.

I sent a mail to 'Hydcea@state.gov' on this issue, they replied the same "It is under process and we cannot tell how many days it will take"

Could any help me out in giving some information on this issue.

Me and my husband came to india for a vacation and gone for the visa interview to mumbai counsulate on 28 the Feb, 2012 . we got a blue slip to submit addtional documents. we submitted on April 5, till now we didint get any reply ..... we contacted VFS after completing 7 weeks...they asked the pasport number, case number, and HDFC receipt number,,,,,, dont know why they asked for that..
Its been more than 8weeks now..... we r still waiting for a response....
Anybody is in this situation,,,,

U.S Embassy sent a Question to our US Office (My work organization) today, they asked for my work location and salary details. Our office replied the details to them.

I should wait and see for the status...
