    It is always better to take advice before taking an appointment.

    Anyway, please post;

    *What does your husband do?
    *What is his annual income range ( <10L, 10-20L, 20L+)?
    *Have you ever travelled outside INdia?
    *What is your cousin's visa status in US?
    *Is he/she sending any sponsorship papers?
    *Do you have any children?
    *have you ever been refused a US visa before?

    In your case,
    *your husband is not going,
    *you have a history of foreign travel

    both are very positive points. But your husband's income is not on the safe side for self
    sponsorship. ( Depends on the officer, some will accept it , some may not)
    Can you show some savings of a few lacs? That will make it better.
    The officer may not ask about the savings, you will have to volunteer that info.

    Secondly 2 weeks is too short for a pleasure trip.
    Going all the way to US for a pleasure trip; 4 weeks seems right.

    Hi. Thanks again.

    I have FDs of around 8 lacs and property on my name. So I should be able to present that as financial ties. Will that suffice.? My duration for stay was mentioned as between 2 to four weeks.

    Pls do suggest any possible questions from the VO given my profile. And thanks fo the promptness in your response. It is very helpful.

    THe main area of concern in your profile is your husband's income.

    They will ask you who is funding the trip, you will say husband. the next question will be what does he do and how much does he earn. Here when you say 8 lacs per year , you must also
    add you have savings of 8 lacs , otherwise there is a risk the officer may just deny on 8 lacs income. He may not ask about savings at all, so you have to be smart to add it on your own.

    When they ask you how long do you wish to stay say 4 weeks.

    OTher than that ,the questions are routine;
    Why do you wish to go?
    For how long?
    What do you do?
    Who is funding the trip?
    What does your husband do and his income?
    Do you have any kids?
    What does your cousin do? What is her visa status?
    Why is your husband not going?
