Currently in India with Valid Approval Notice (I-797A)

Hi,

I was in the US on an H1B visa. While I was in the US, I applied for visa extension and got it approved. My approval notice (I-797)is valid till March 2013. Due to some personal issues, I had to come back to India for good. Since the company sponsors tickets, they will not let me travel to the US soon again, so I am in the risk of losing my H1B. Is it possible to get an H1B visa transfer for by another company while I am in India, as I have only an approval notice and my visa needs to be stamped.
