Default Blanket L1 A to Greencard

    Hi,

I am having Blanket L1 A visa. Now, my company is planning to apply for GC.

    My question:
    1) Is the Blanket 'L1 A' eligible for GC process under EB1 category?
    2) Is there a difference between applying for GC from Regular L1 A to Vs Blanket L1A?
If yes, any processing time difference between these 2 L1A categories.

Meaning "R L1A" will take less time compared to "B L1A" - something like that.?

    -Thx

    Thanks for the quick reply.

One more question - In some forum I read that the yearly salary should be greater than 120K in order to be considered for EB1 category. Is this true?

    -Thanks.

EB1 is for people with extraordinary ability. People who have done their PhDs are considered under EB1. So if you are filing under EB1 (For being in L1A) and show your salary as 60 or 70k, USCIS might question your ability to really be extraordinary. IMO, salary does play a role when you file immigration petition under respective categories.
