My future employer has both cap subject and cap exempt H1b jobs. They wanted me for a cap subject one. Since the cap was reached before they could file they decided to hire me for a cap EXEMPT position for one year , in the meanwhile they file a petition for the cap SUBJECT position for 2014, so they can switch me to the other job.
They also plan to start the process for an EB-2 green card now.
Will I be able to get a green card without repeating the whole process if I switch the job after a year (same employer) within the expected timeline for EB-2 (I am a citizen of Syria)? Any concerns I need to be aware of or any advice?
