My wife is currently working on L1 and I am on an F1. I have recently graduated and will start working for my employer and have an approved H1B petition. My wife wants to leave her job and we want to apply a change of status for her from L1 to F2. My question is:
1. Can she change her status from L1 to F2 and then to H4 (on Oct 1) without leaving the country?
2. When applying for change of status to F2, does she need to show proof that she will be leaving the country (as non-immigration intent) after a few months even though I have an approved H1B petition?
