original vs. photocopy of the documents

Hello everyone !

As per my understanding all the documents sent by the sponsor should be original. But I have seen the cases of approval despite carrying the photocies of all the documens. As there is a risk of losing the original documents, I was wondering if the photocopes are also acceptable at all. If not, then I wonder why ( just curious).

If the photocopy was OK for someone, that does not automatically mean it would be OK for everyone. Sometimes, the documents are not even checked at all and in those cases, it does not matter.

Originals are always preferred because photocopies have more chances of fake documents.

If you still send only the photocopies, you run the risk of those documents not being considered valid.
