Default Abandon or withdraw N-400 application

    Hello,

I am at the fingerprinting stage and have my appointment for biometrics. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances I am unable to go through the N-400 process at this time. Do I just not show up at the biometrics appointment and abandon the application or withdraw it by writing to the USCIS, if the latter what is the procedure? do I fill out a form or just write to them at the address provided on the biometrics notice? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I would write a letter and withdraw officially. You do not need to give any reason why you are withdrawing.

The address should be the address you sent your N400 application to, but I would call the USCIS 1-800 number and verify the address.

You can withdraw but I don't think you will get the submission fee refunded
