F1 (OPT) to J2

I am a new member of this forum...... Currently, I am doing OPT on F1, and will finish it in December 2012. My husband is on J1, and I would like to change my status from F1 (OPT) to J2. I would like to know how long does it take to get approval of change of status from F1 to J2?

I would real appreciate the help.
