Default Travelling to India while H1 COS petition is in process

    Dear Sir,
I am currently on L1B visa and my current petition is valid till December. Another company (B), has filed a H1B petition for me starting from Oct,2012 which is in process. I need to travel in August outside US for couple of weeks.
Will my travel impact new H1 process.
Also I will have to get my current L1 visa stamped when I am visiting India.
If my visa stamping is rejected or goes in admin process , can I come back using my new H1 (after its stamped).
Thanks a lot for your valuable advice.

    >>> Yes. If you leave the country while the COS is pending, the COS might get denied and the H1B might get approved for consular process.

    >>> Yes. You can enter only when the petition becomes effective. If you enter in H1B visa, you can only work for the H1B sponsor.
