PERM at the sixth year

Hi There,
Applied for PERM, got an audit & replied for it.Jogged through the blogs & planning to apply for a second PERM.My questions are

#1.Already completed 5 yrs on H1.My friends informed that I can't apply for PERM after the completion of 5 yrs.Is it true?
#2.can I apply the second PERM with same position as specified in the first PERM? Or with different position?

Please advise.

Hi;

You can apply for PERM in the 6th year, provided your I-140 also should get approved within the end of the 6th year. If it dosent happen you have to leave out of country for a year and then come back with a fresh H1B.
