Default laid off two weeks after get greencard

    Hi,
I got laid off two weeks after I got my greencard.
    Here is detailed info:

Dec. 17, 2001 POE in SF, got passport stamped.
Dec. 18, 2001 received lay off notice in my office
Dec. 28, 2001 last day in my company.
Jan 10, 2002 received formal plastic "greencard".

I also applied for unemployment insurance.

Is it a problem for my citizen application later on ?
Do I need to info. INS my job status changed ?

    Thanks.
    David

    Relax, you are OK.
Keep copy of termination notice with you (where it clearly says the date which is post DOE) and last paystub which is also post DOE.

For extra precuation, to avoid any hassles you can get out of, you may choose to apply for citizenship 5 years after you join your next employer (the one after the one you will join or joined now).
