    Hi,

Could somebody tell, we need to be a manager outside US to convert from L1b to L1A or we just need to work outside US for the same company. I am seeing both in different posts. Not sure which one is right. I am talking about the case if the if the candiate is already at US.

    Thanks for the help

When you are applying for L1A, you need to be a manager and be performing the duties of a person who is eligible for L1A. Just people management along doesn't make one eligible for L1A. It really doesn't matter whether you worked as a manager outside U.S or not. But if you entered U.S very recently and if you do not posses any experience in management and if you are just starting to be a manager, then it can be an issue as USCIS might raise an RFE to provide more proof to show that you are eligible for L1A.
