VISA extension during OPT

Hi,

I just graduated with Ph. D. in May and starting working as post-doc on May 28th. My current employment is for 6 months ending in November.

My VISA expired in May 2012. Could you please let me know if it is risky to travel to India and go for stamping for F1 while on OPT with only about a month to go for the current employment to end.

There is always a risk in any F1 Visa application and being on OPT makes it more risky.
