    Default L2 and EAD extension

I am on L1 visa and it is valid till 11-Aug-2012. My wife has her L2 visa and EAD valid till the same date. I have filed for L1 and L2 extension in May first week and have got my receipt number. It is still in Initial Review with USCIS. Kindly let me know whether i can go ahead and apply my wife's EAD extension with my receipt number as reference or do i have to wait for my approval and new I-94 for applying it.

Thanks in advance for your time and help in this regard.

L2 extension and EAD can be filed together. No need to wait for the L2 approval. She won't be able to work once the current EAD expires until the new one gets approved.

    Thanks shervin143.

My company has already applied for my L1 and spouse L2 extension. I will have to take care of EAD on my own.
So can i file it now separately with the receipt number of my actual extension application as reference. I am little confused as for EAD extension we need valid I-94 and approved petition which i dont have now...(as extension is pending with USCIS)
    Kindly advice

You should be able to file it with a copy of the receipt notice. If you can file the L2 extension and EAD at the same time, t hen it is should be possible too.

    Default L2 EAD renewal process

    Hi,
I E-Filed my application i-765 on the 14th of may2012 and also sent the required documents(L1A petition, new i-94,residence proof, copy of drivers license,a copy of e-filing) to the Vermont ,VA location. As when i e-filed my application it asked to send out the documents to the VA office.I got my biometrics done on the 13th june 2012.Its been 70 days now that i haven't heard anything from the USICS.
Should i make an info pass appointment at the local office. Will this speed up my process. My employer wants me to join back to work Immediately.
Also my previous EAD expired on 14th of may 2012.
    Pls help.

You have to wait until 90 days to pass to take an infopass appointment.

That's what it says when you apply for an info pass online. But when i spoke with a representative from USCIS he said if i dont hear anything from USCIS until 75 daysof application,i can still call them up and see what can be done further.Would it be possible to expidite the case or take an appointment for an info pass.
We did speak with an attorney and she has asked my empolyer to give me a offer letter,so that it can add weightage to the current case.

Would it be possible to expidite the case or
    >>> There is no expidited process for L2.

take an appointment for an info pass.
    >>> Well, call USCIS and check with them. IMO, you have to wait for 90 days before you can take an infopass appointment. Infopass is there to help people when the processing exceeds the normal processing time (3 months). If everyone takes infopass without any patience, then USCIS will not be able to handle all the requests.

    Dear Pushpa,
Just wondering if you had your EAD approved. What is the duration it took to get it done.
Also, I have question on e-filling. In I-765 form, there is question : "Please provide information concerning your eligibility status:Please provide information concerning your eligibility status:"

What information should go here for L2 visa holders. Could you please help me with the same?

    Hi Shervin.
My L2 visa is expiring on May 2013 so as L1 visa of my spouse. We have I-94 which expires on Aug 2015. In this case, what is the earliest time we need to file L1 and L2 visa extension?
