I intend visiting family in the US. They have offered to pay for a trip for me to come and visit them as a graduation present?

Even though I can afford to pay for the trip myself, they have offered.

Which is the better move to make with regards to getting the B2, to say that they are sponsoring me or that I can afford to pay for it myself?

The best thing is to show that you can take care of the trip yourself.
