Does a Canadian student with an Indian passport need Germany transit visa?

Hi,

I am currently studying in Canada on a valid study visa and permit. My family is in India and I have an Indian passport. I want to meet my family back home. I will be purchasing a ticket that has a transit in Germany. My transit time will be 6 hours while going to India and 1.5 hours while returning to Canada. I intend on going this December and returning in January, 2013. My Canadian student visa is valid till September, 2013. Can you please tell me if I need to apply for a transit visa for Germany?

It's clearly stated on the German Embassy's website.
You don't need a transit visa while you have a Canadian visa.
