F1 Visa Renewal

Hey,

I want to renew my visa as F1 by going back to my country. I have in student status with immigration, but visa has been expired for 5 years. I have two more semesters of school left.

Any concerns related to this?

Yes you can renew your F-1 Visa by being in your country.If you exit the United States and apply for a visa, you cannot return to the United States until the visa is issued. This could require a lengthy stay. If the visa is denied, you will not be able to return to the United States as a student.
