Applied I-485 for my daughter prior to her turning 18 years old. Her approved I-130 was basis with priority date Dec 20 2011, notice date June 1, 2012. I have a green card and my approved I-130 priority date was Apr 28, 2010. My daughter's application for Adjustment of Status was returned by USCIS with reason as priority date not current. I checked Part 2(b) on the I-485 form that allows derivative status of children. My thoughts were priority date was not a factor. Can someone verify? I thought the process would have started and she would have received her receipts awaiting fingerprints and interview dates, etc. Thanks!
